Creating the space to breathe allows you to show up with a peace and strength you've never known existed within you.

 

Whether you're sitting at the airport waiting to catch your next flight, watching television with your family late in the evening, catching up with a friend at a nearby cafe, or just sitting around the house, take a few rounds of diaphragmatic breathing.

 

Take a deep breath. Note whether your shoulders rise with your deep breath. On your next inhale, try to keep your shoulders in place.

On the exhale, open your mouth and gently push the air out, twice as long as your inhale.

Place your hands on an area of your body you'd like to focus on. Feel that space expand wider into your hands.

 

This is your first step to start guiding yourself to deeper awareness within your personal body. Allow yourself to take up space as you breathe.
